Our Story

Zimmerman Community Church, a part of the Assemblies of God denomination, began in 2008. A team of 6, which had a great burden for Zimmerman, began walking the neighborhoods and praying for the homes and families and the will of God. That burden, and with the help of Bridgeview Church of Monticello, Zimmerman Community Church was birthed. A bible study of about 10-12 people met in the beginning, until a church location was found and leased. Sunday and Wednesday services were started in Sept. 2008 and grew quickly to about 50 people.

After growing out of our first facility, Zimmerman Community Church purchased the building at 12567 5th Ave., located across from the Zimmerman Post Office. After many hours of labor from our church family, the new building is wonderfully equipped to meet the needs of our growing congregation.

Our vision of ministry from the beginning has been to Offer Hope, Healing and Stability in a world that does not.

Our focus to achieve this has been to use the word of God and the love of Jesus in reaching out to the people of our community, not just in services on Sundays and Wednesdays- but everyday- as we meet, and relate with the people of our community. God has been very faithful and we have seen many come to Christ and grow in their walk with Him

We continually seek God’s will and vision in continuing to spread the Good News and His love in Zimmerman and the surrounding areas.
